You. This position is covering for the Emergency Department. You will float, and you will be covering PTO, doctor's appointments, FMLA, and open positions on an as needed basis, variable days and shifts. This is not a benefit position.

As a Patient Access Lead you need to know how to:
Perform all essential duties and responsibilities of the Registration/Pre-Access Specialist I & II
Manage expected floor time with Supervisor
Provide support for Cashier Office duties and cash reconciliation functions (if applicable)
Contribute with peer interview process
Provide on-the-job training once the Patient Access Associate has successfully completed initial training
Provide feedback to Patient Access Associates as they begin demonstrating proficiency in their area
Assist in problem solving more complicated issues Patient Access Associates may encounter in their daily work
Perform quality assurance reviews on Patient Access Associates, documents findings, and provides information to leadership
Assist in the preparation of periodic reports crucial to the leadership decision making process

High school diploma / GED or equivalent. May include specialized or vocational courses.
Minimum of one year employment within a SCL Health Patient Access department or Revenue Service Center department.
Previous experience specific to revenue cycle operations as it pertains to patient financial services is preferred.
