Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating the activities and operational work flows directed by the supervisor and director related to the release of medical information functions in the Health Information Management Department. Contributes to the Release of Medical Information section in meeting the goals and objectives of the Health Information Management Department.
Job Duties
- Assists in coordinating daily operational activities to ensure timely fulfillment of requests for medical information.
- Document and monitor ROI work queues volumes daily.
- Maintains proficiency and contributes to the work productivity of the department.
- Promotes team-work and maintains open communication between Release of Medical Information personnel.
- Assist with training of Release of Medical Information personnel.
- Completes the initial quarterly processing accuracy reviews of all release of information staff.
- Serves as a liaison between Release of Medical Information and Legal Services with questions of valid authorizations and 3rd party requests.
- Train, monitor, and audit staff assigned to ROI phone queue to determine volume of incoming calls and staffing requirements.
- Completes audit reviews of personnel to determine any training needs related to phone etiquette and professionalism.
- Serves as a technical resource for questions related to the disclosure of medical health information and proper authorization issues.
- Perform all duties as described in Release of Medical Information Clerk job description.

Position Details
Shift - 8am - 4:30pm on-site at Pittston location
Travel required to sites in Danville for meetings/trainings as needed
Medical Records/Release of Information experience preferred
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
Experience
Minimum of 3 years-Healthcare (Required)
