Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Meridian is seeking a Supervisor Sterile Processing to join our Central Processing team.
Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day oversight of the unit/department(s) assigned.
- Provides leadership, guidance, counseling and continuing education to staff.
- Responsible to develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment.
- Works collaboratively with Operating Room to resolve issues.
- Works with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsels staff when sterile processing standards are not met.
- Assists with coordination of schedule to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices. Serves as expert and resource to staff.
- Coordinates quality initiatives and process improvements.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels and records.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years' Sterile Processing experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through IAHCSMM or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Tech) through CBSPD.
