The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
The Analytics Manager is responsible for extracting, manipulating, and analyzing NAHQ data, and modeling new insights for this growing, best in class, and leading-edge association. This hands-on role will partner with functional stewards, business units, and user partners to develop reporting and analytic solutions that guide strategic decision-making. This position will also support NAHQ’s corporate partners by managing the collection and reporting of data describing the quality and safety competencies of healthcare workers across the continuum of care. The Analytics Manager will work closely with multiple departments and business stakeholders, requiring frequent collaboration, strong communication skills, and a customer service mindset. This role is based in Chicago.
Analyze internal and external datasets to develop actionable insights.
Partner with NAHQ staff in interpreting data, to co-develop correct statements that are supported by facts.
Proactively monitor and probe datasets for insights and produce both static and interactive reporting for multiple departments.
Implement processes to automate custom and self-service reporting.
Provide quality assurance in reports by fulfilling check routines and performing data validation.
Strategy and Integration
Partner with key stakeholders to provide data-driven insights in support of business goals.
Work across departments to identify best practice solutions to solve complex information challenges.
Support leadership in aligning data insights and recommendations with the overall strategic plan for the business.
Identify gaps in processes and data and act as a catalyst for problem solving and process creation, improvement and implementation.
Document and understand the organization’s data lineage.
Contribute to strong data governance.
Learn and report on new developments in the area of business intelligence.
Support other business needs of the organization as defined by organizational leadership.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years generating data-driven insights in a professional environment. Similar internship or volunteer experience will be considered.
Written and oral presentation expertise.
Experience in one or more technical areas:
Application Programming Interfaces
Statistical analysis with large data sets
ETL (extract, transform, load) Tools
Understanding of machine learning principles
Data lakes and data warehouses
SQL and statistical programming (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
Ability to extract, manipulate, analyze and develop reports of data from multiple sources, and communicate actionable strategic recommendations based on facts.
Ability to source new datasets for internal and external uses.
Proficiency in creating data visualizations in Excel and at least one data modeling tool (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, QlikSense etc.).
Ability to draft graphs, reports, and presentations in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
