The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is accepting applications for a full-time, twelve-month, faculty position in the Genetic Counseling Program (GC) in the Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences (CDS) at the School of Health Professions (SHP).
Primary responsibilities include teaching, clinical coordination, and program administration with opportunities for clinical service and scholarly research. The successful candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in genetic counseling, certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC), and a minimum of three (3) years of genetic counseling experience. Academic, teaching, and/or clinical experience is preferred, but not required. Salary, faculty rank, and tenure status are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
