The Joint Commission - Life Safety Code Surveyor Virtual Event - February 16, 2023 at 6 p.m. CT

The Joint Commission has an immediate need for Life Safety Code Surveyors, who are looking to impact the quality and safety of healthcare at a national level.

Hear directly from our life safety code surveyors about their typical workday - this is your opportunity to engage and ask questions!

Surveyors can work full time, part time or intermittently.

Full time - 4 weeks out of 4 weeks

Part time - .7 fte works 3 out of 4 weeks and .48 fte works 2 out of 4 weeks

Intermittent - 1 week every other month

Travel commitment is 100%.

Requirements: A Joint Commission Life Safety Code surveyor will have approximately

• Eight years of hospital experience in facilities management, including at least five years in a management position in engineering, facilities management, hazardous materials and waste management, emergency preparedness, biomedical equipment, and/or utility systems as well as experience as the organization's Safety Officer.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care standards including the Life Safety Code (NFPA101) and other relevant NFPA standards and direct involvement with a minimum of two Joint Commission surveys.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required, Masters' degree in related field preferred.
