Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Summary: General: Under direction of the Manager of Revenue Integrity,ensures proper day to day operations of the revenue integrity and charge capture process. Primary duties include reviewing charge documents, the charge capture process and revenue reconciliation of departments for accuracy and compliance. Specific: Under direct supervision of the Manager of Revenue Integrity, works to support revenue optimization initiatives. Strong computer skills required with a familiarity around billing and coding strongly preferred.

Five to seven years progressive experiences in healthcare environment required.Computer literate with Excel spreadsheet skills.
Secondary Education related to health information management, finance, public health, business administration or a related discipline.
Certification as a CCA, CCS, RHIA or RHIT is highly desired.
Responsibilities: Ensures accurate and timely charge capture methodologies are in place and executed for the assigned work unit, and that they are consistent (in terms of standardization) across pertinent areas/departments as appropriate. Reconciles charges against source documents to ensure that charges have been captured completely and accurately. Monitors compliance with internal standards and procedures. Reports non-compliance issues to proper authority. Identifies, researches, and analyzes billing errors and/or omissions, working with appropriate staff/team member. Ensures that revisions/corrections are sent to the Patient Business Services team and incorporated in processing systems in a timely manner. Ensures data flows appropriately between departments and computer systems. Provides training to staff engaged in billing data entry and related charge capture/reconciliation activities to ensure procedures are understood and that charges are timely, accurate and completed with proper documentation. Works efficiently in all Craneware tools assigned and shows demonstrated knowledge of use. Prepares reports, and provides departmental summary information to the Revenue Cycle team which is responsible for ensuring that all charges on a system-wide basis are being captured, charged and reimbursed appropriately and for overall compliance. Assists interdepartmental teams in troubleshooting accounts that are being held in A/R due to charging/documentation discrepancies. Demonstrates personal capabilities in organizational, time management, prioritizing, careful and logical thinking, effective problem solving and decision making skills. Supports the Revenue Integrity and Patient Business Services functions and initiatives on an as needed basis.
