The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
This position, working with and reporting directly to the Vice President of Advocacy and Government Affairs provides administrative, technical and office management support and is responsible for certain grants-related issues for the Advocacy department. This administrative position requires a high degree of professionalism and involves on-going skill development in the areas of administrative support and grant acquisition, development, and reporting, and requires daily interaction with external professional staff of other system departments (i.e., Finance) and internal executive staff and exposure to sensitive information necessitating the exercise of confidentiality, mature judgment, and independent decision-making.
Provides administrative support for the Advocacy staff, including coordinating various projects requiring technological assistance
Schedules, organizes, and coordinated departmental meetings
Prepares materials and decides as needed for meetings and conferences
Handles confidential calls and correspondence as necessary for legal counsel staff
Collates consultant invoices to appropriate departmental recipients and coordinates payment process with accounting
Coordinates with other departmental staff to maintain and update the Advocacy intranet site, including the preparation, posting, and updating of materials on the site
Coordinate all governmental grant requests and monitor submission and tracking
Participates with internal and external staff in regular status meetings and conference calls to identify grant opportunities and coordinate appropriate submissions and tracking
Acts as liaison between the external staff and internal executive staff on matters affecting the department's administrative and grant related needs
Provides new department staff with introduction and basic information on grants
Extracts data and create reports as requested
Provides technical support staff users of office automation software including Microsoft Office, and unique advocacy software
