The Mankato Clinic was established in 1916 by five area physicians who believed that a comprehensive, multi-specialty group practice offered the best means of providing quality health care to the residents of southern Minnesota.  Today, as the State’s largest physician-owned for-profit medical group with more than 80 physicians and 110 advanced practice providers, the Mankato Clinic offers a comprehensive array of primary and specialty care services across its 10 locations.  The group has been progressive in embracing the move toward value-based care and is proud to have been consistently recognized as a top performing clinic for its quality results by Minnesota Community Measures.  With the planned retirement of its current CEO the group is looking for a new executive leader to take the organization successfully into the future.   

Position Overview:

The CEO will have the responsibility of leading and managing the Mankato Clinic’s operations, ensuring financial stability, fostering a patient-first culture, and driving strategic initiatives that align with the clinic’s mission and vision. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare management, financial acumen, and the ability to inspire teams toward a common goal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Strategy:
  Lead the development and implementation of the clinic’s long-term strategy and vision. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that drives continuous improvement in patient care, services, and operational efficiency.
• Operational Oversight:
  Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and patient satisfaction are maintained.
• Financial Management:
  Oversees the clinic’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, ensuring financial stability and growth.
• Team Leadership:
  Lead and mentor senior leadership and staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development. Work closely with medical staff to ensure a physician-driven approach to clinical decision-making.
• Community Engagement:
  Act as the public face of the Mankato Clinic, representing the organization to the community, stakeholders, and industry partners. Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including patients, staff, government officials, and business leaders.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  Ensure the clinic remains compliant with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including healthcare laws, industry standards, and ethical practices.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  A Bachelor’s degree with post graduate education (MBA/MHA) strongly preferred.
• Experience:
  Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare executive management experience with a track record of success, ideally in a multi-specialty clinic setting in a highly competitive market.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry trends, financial management, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
