The Department of Pediatrics invites applications for a faculty pediatrician (MD/DO) within the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health. We are seeking an outstanding pediatrician to join our multi-specialty team, who will provide holistic primary care and urgent care clinical services for children aged 0-23. This faculty member will also serve as an attending preceptor, teaching and supervising Duke pediatric residents and medical students within our established academic practice. We have three primary care locations; this position will be primarily located at our North Durham (3116 North Duke Street) location with some time at the other locations. As part of the education team, this position will give didactic pre-clinical conferences as well as provide patient or topic-specific lectures.  To enhance resident education, this position will NOT have responsibilities to serve as a primary care physician for individual patients. The weekly schedule for this position may vary depending on clinic need and will be discussed in advance.

Eligible candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be board-certified or board eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics.

The Division of Primary Care Pediatrics is dedicated to providing excellent clinical care, training the next generation of pediatricians, advancing our knowledge of ways to improve the health of children, and improving the health of our community. We provide a wide array of high quality, accessible primary, specialized and enhanced health care services for our patients. Our wellness services include immunizations and routine physical examinations, including those required for school, competitive athletics, and camp.

We offer comprehensive care for the entire range of childhood illnesses. All of our pediatricians are members of the faculty at the Duke University School of Medicine and are board-certified. The faculty and staff in the Division of Primary Care Pediatrics constantly work to improve our health care knowledge in order to provide our patients with state-of-the-art care.
